A sensuous song by Sujatha from a Malayalam movie... Her voice mingles with the background so callously...Even after 6 years, since I heard this for the first time, it still seems new and fresh. I just love this one...
In the heat of the summer, when the earth seemed to breathe a collective sigh, Radhika found herself standing in the attic of her grandmother's ancestral home in the small village of Haripad. The house, a crumbling relic of the Travancore architecture, had always been a place of mystery, with its faded wooden floors and peeling walls. It was as though the house itself was a museum of forgotten years, with every object in it holding a story no one dared to tell. Radhika, however, had always been fascinated by those untold stories. Now, at twenty-eight, after years of living in the bustling chaos of Bangalore, she had returned to the house, seeking answers, seeking... something. She didn’t know what. But she felt it, like a whisper in her bones—something pulling her back to this place, to this family, to the legacy that felt incomplete. Her grandmother, whom she called Muthassi , was old. Old in a way that felt eternal, as if she had always existed, perched in her corner of the house
Jeez, what a Lovely song this is... The song has the voice of the female lead of the movie (Andrea Jeremiah). The other appreciable character in the movie is Fahad... This guy has come a very long long way: From this to now... A must watch for all the people out there in love...You will relate something or the other with the protagonists.
God! Seems like I will have a tough time handling the dhoti ("Mundd" as it is called in Malayalam) in the coming times ahead... :-P Everything is fine until the knot of the Mundd loosens up... :-D I still remember, once when I was in Kerala and went to buy something, and the damned shirt didn't had pockets. The Mundd will have a little loose space at its end where usually people keep stuffs like money. So I did the same thing, and on reaching the store, I did an MJ finding it tough to find the money where I had placed it...Damn it! I opened it completely and there comes the currency notes, down my legs.... :-P Needless to say, the shopkeeper was hysteric with laughter... Uhhhh, how do people manage it while walking, sitting and sleeping?
